I am interested in purchasing a late model, low hours compact Kubota tractor. I found locally the one described below and am interested in its value. Asking price is $21,500. Tractor has 175 hours on it and appears to be in excellent condition. Was shown receipts for:
L3010HST $14800
LA482 Bucket $3600
BL4690A Hoe $5900
Curtis Cab $1200
Curtis Snow Plow $2975
Fork Lift Attachment $700
Quick Release $350
Totaled: $29,525
Would anyone know what it is really worth and is this a good tractor for residential use? Your opinions/input would be appreciated.

I think thats quite a package and a good price. Sometimes there is more in a package than what we need. That often makes it harder to see the full value of what is there. If you don't need it all, it might not be the best for you unless you feel confident enough to sell what you have no need for. ....

Thanks Art. Would you have an opinion on which of these machines would be the best residential machine for a 15 acre wooded property? A 36 hr B21 at $22,000, a new BX22 at $15,500 or the L3010HST described above? Also, I was told by the owner of the 3010 that it has a 24 hp diesel, but have read that the 3010 is 30 hp. Would you know which is accurate? Thanks for the response. ....

I'll start out backwards, some days I'm lucky to get started in any direction. The 30 is the gross engine power the 26 is pto You have asked me as to the value of each unit to the 15 acres of woods. What are you going to do with the fifteen acres, leave as woods? How much mowing how much driveway, is it hilly? ....

Great questions! The 15 acres is both hilly and heavily wooded with less than a quarter acre of grass. There is approximately 700 feet of stone driveway. The house is underconstruction and will require an ample amount of landscaping, plantings etc plus retaining walls. Top soil will be required along both sides of the driveway to bring the sides up to grade. Paths and trails will be made through the woods towards a stream downhill of the homesite. I would probably be better off renting a unit when required or hiring and excavator.....but, men with toys!

Thanks again for your input...it is appreciated. ....

The glossy I have on the L3010HST indicates 32.1 gross hp, 30.4 net hp and 24.0 pto hp, if it makes any differance. ....
